William Balz – Managing Partner & Chief Investment Officer
Before founding FPM, Bill was the Partner in charge of acquisitions for Calare Properties, Inc. from 2005-2010 While at Calare Bill and his partners grew AUM from 600,000SF to 12,500,000SF. Calare ranks in the upper quartile of all CRE investment managers during Bills tenure there. While at Calare, Bills investment focus was value-add flex, industrial and office.
Prior to Calare, Bill was a Partner at Advent International, which is a global private equity firm with $20Billion+ AUM. Bills focus at Advent was customized corporate private equity programs and specialized advisory services. His experience underwriting emerging companies and management teams is a strong advantage for FPM. Prior to Advent, Bill was an Associate at CSC Index, a leading business strategy consulting firm.
Bill graduated from the University of Michigan with a B.A. in Economics. Following 3 years as an assistant portfolio manager at a money management firm in NYC, Bill attended MIT’s Sloan School in 1991-1993, graduating with an M.S. (MBA) in Finance. Bill is an Unrestricted Licensed Construction Supervisor (CS-091134) in MA.
Burton Abel – Partner, Business Development and Leasing
Burt joined FPM in 2014. Burt was part of a successful family steel business which he sold in 2006 and for whom he managed its construction industry division. In 2007, he joined Wyman Street Advisors, a large regional full service real estate firm, as a Director. His responsibilities included providing real estate advisory services including brokerage, investment sales, and property management and consulting services to their 3 Million SF portfolio. In 2011 he joined Equitable Real Estate Services as a Vice President where he focused on tenant representation and business development. Most recently he served as Senior Advisor in the Boston office of SVN International, a large national full service commercial real estate firm. In addition to providing the full range of brokerage services, he was also responsible for sourcing both on- and off- market real estate investment opportunities to the firms high net worth clientele.
Julie Minahan – Operations Manager
Julie has been in the commercial real estate business for 12 years. She is responsible for day-to-day tenant relations, contractor coordination, invoicing and receivables.
Chuck Zarba – Chief Facilities Manager & Construction Supervisor
Chuck has been an Unrestricted Construction Supervisor (CSL) for 20+ years and has been a professional carpenter for 30+ years. Chuck began his career as a carpenter/framer and gravitated toward commercial construction in the mid-1980s. Chuck personally oversees all of FPM’s construction related activities, most of which involve TI packages for tenants. Chuck also oversees day to day facilities management for all of FPM’s properties.
Nicole Izzo – Office Administration
Nikki has been in the commercial real estate industry for 5 years. Nikki’s responsibilities at FPM include day-to-day tenant relationship management and administrative services.
Adolfo Valladaves – Construction and Maintenance
Adolfo has 17+ years of experience in commercial property maintenance and construction. He is responsible for day-to-day property maintenance and TI projects around FPM’s growing portfolio
